In his new show “Amore”, Carmen Monarcha brings to Brazil an eclectic repertoire with plenty of well-known performances, ranging from the classic to the popular, from the national to the international.

The musical arrangements bring a high quality level performance, combining the symphonic sound of the Allegro Orchestra under the regency of the innovative maestro Renato Misiuk, with the jazz quartet led by the renowned pianist Miguel Briamonte.

Carmen sings classics of her operatic career with acclaimed interpretations of Puccini, Bizet and Dvorak’s renowned compositions. She touches the audience’s heart with huge international successes such as “El dia que me quieras”, “Caruso”, “L’Hymne a l’amour”, “You’ll never walk alone” and amazes as she performs the greatest classics of Broadway.

Mentored by André Rieu, her great “musical master”, Carmen engages and interacts constantly with her audience, in a spectacle that warms the hearts and giver forth grace and delicacy to the public!

Alongside the pianist and piano accompanist Daniel Gonçalves, Carmen revisits the cameristic repertoire composed especially for this formation of voice and piano. In addition to presenting the most famous and well-known opera arias, Carmen performs brazilian, german, french and italian songs composed by renowned artists such as Villa-Lobos, Waldemar Henrique, Carlos Gomes, Cláudio Santoro, Mozart, Lizt, Schumann, Debussy, Fauré, Poulenc and Kurt Weil. The duo explores all the nuances of a sophisticated repertoire, presented with its usual touch of irreverence and accessibility.
